Below are some of our reviews from recent window installations. We value our customers feedback and that allows us to maintain a high level of satisfaction.
We picked the right contractor and the right product (with your good help). We found everyone at West Coast Windows and Doors to be professional and helpful. Your installers are the backbone of your company; they proved to be true craftsman in their trade. Since our home had build in oak window frames, I'm sure it was a bit more challenging than most. I appreciate Richard's help in finding solutions to preserve the existing window framing. Obviously the installers did a great job on the windows they need to trim back.I never thought either of us would be excited about windows, they look great!

Richard, the owner, came out to provide an estimate for replacing our windows and doors. He thoroughly went through our project with us, including making a custom front door that we had an idea for and fully understanding our desire to keep the house in the original mid century style. We received many bids and were torn between 2 of them, but ended up going with West Coast Windows. Richard came back out and took specific final measurements and we signed all of the paperwork and ordered everything. This included new locks for our remaining doors so that everything would be keyed the same. He said it would take 4-6 weeks for everything to be manufactured, and it was right on time @ the 6 week mark.
We scheduled the install for 3 days a couple of weeks out. The crew that showed up were incredibly efficient and all very respectful of our house and our cats that had to be locked up while they worked. It seemed that 3 days might not be enough time given the scope of the project, but they not only finished everything within the timeframe they gave us, the fit and finish on the job were excellent. The new trim around the windows and new sills that were manufactured all came out wonderfully and everything seemed to go without a hitch, including having to cut down one window to make it larger. They cleaned up fairly well afterward, a few random pieces of stucco and screws around the outside, but nothing major and, honestly, to be expected.
Our new front door turned out beautiful and is exactly what we wanted and the windows all look great! Fantastic job from start to finish!

This is the third time that I have contracted with West Coast Windows and Doors. The first and second jobs were larger in scope and the work was done in the exemplary manner that I have come to expect from the Company. The first project involved 15 + vinyl windows at an in-laws house, and Richard (the owner) spend a lot of time and effort to get the right effect for the 1920 style home.
The second project was installing 18+ windows and 2 slider in my own home. Once again Richard did a great job in getting all the correct measurements, as well as offering tips on what would look the best and work with the style of the home. It was the second project that I got to meet Kelly, the partner/office manager. If there was a problem, doubt, or just someone to walk you through the process, Kelly is the greatest you will find.
The third project was quite small in comparison, it was replacing a 10 ft view glass slider inthe livingroom, that looks out over the Bay. The door had been installed over 10 years ago, and was heavy, and the wheels/rollers had gone flat, making the door very hard to open. Richard came out for a look, we talked through all the options and his suggestion was right on. The new door is amazing!!!
So light and easy to work, it is once again a pleasure to walk out to the deck.
The installers were also great, very clean, putting down tarps and working within the confined spaces. The door installation was done in one day, with matching moulding and I am very happy once again with West Coast Windows and Doors.
It is very hard to find a Company that you trust will do the job right, and the people are all great to work with...I found that company in West Coast Windows and Doors.

They were wonderful they helped me out with all of my needs. They went over and beyond the call of duty. Owner had workers out past their typical hours to help me out which was fantastic. Workmanship was excellent.

As a college professor teaching management classes, I am very selective when choosing a company to provide services for me or to work on my house. Recently, I wanted to begin to update my 30 year old home and was overwhelmed at where to begin. I was advised by a designer friend to begin with the windows, because I could benefit from more energy efficient windows and help the environment, as well. Once I made that decision, I began to choose the company for purchasing and installing the windows. I secured estimates from three companies.
I chose West Coast Windows and Doors because they are Diamond Certified, which told me that they have a strong reputation for customer satisfaction and they value continuous improvement. From the moment I talked with Mallory on the phone to set up our first appt, I was impressed with the professionalism and commitment to quality that every person I dealt with at West Coast Windows and Doors had. Everything was clearly explained, options were developed, alternatives were discussed and I never received any pressure while deciding my preferences and options. In the end, I chose to replace all the windows in my house.
The installation crew came at the appointed time, were very professional, respectful and very tidy. They were 'right on' in their estimation of how long the job would take, which really helped me plan around them. I couldn't be more satisfied. The windows look wonderful and have updated the look of my home much more that I even anticipated.
My biggest surprise was to find out how comfortable my house is now, whether it's hot out or cold out (and we've had both extremes since I had them installed). I even received a 25 percent rebate from PG&E because I used significantly less gas for heating. I just enjoyed having a house without drafts! I tell people that it's the best decision I ever made and I know I chose the best company around. They receive my highest recommendation.

They were great. They did a beautiful job. They came on time. They did what they said they would do. I love the way the windows look. In fact, I am going to have them come out and do some more. They came when they said they were going to come. They gave me advice about when to have the house painted just before or after they put the windows in. They recommended the painter which was very good. Their cost was pretty close to exactly what they said it was going to be. They finished the job and they didn’t come back for anything. The people that did the work were very personable and answered any questions I had. Their quality of work was excellent. I had called them about a couple of questions and they responded quickly.

I had a new sliding patio door put in my bedroom measured W73.5"xH80.5" with moulding. They installed a new light outside per city requirements. They had to take out a smaller window, cut into the wall to put in the sliding door and put in new dry wall where the old window had been. They nicely enough removed a speaker gratis from the ceiling and patched it to match the wall finish on the other walls. They used Screen Machine a screen door company who put in a roll away screen that I chose. The owner came out and gave me the price which included them working with and paying for the city inspection which was $487 in Hayward. Any time I had questions I called and got answers right away. They were excellent to work with. I'm very happy with the door and screen. I have two full window door panels with no screen obstructing the view. The room is now flooded with light and I can see my back yard, flowers and birds. Totally recommend them. I had to guess at the price rating since I have no experience with different prices. I was looking for quality not just the cheapest price. I would definitely use them again.

"I would give them an '11'. Everything was very good, the product and the installation. They stood behind them. I have recommended them to quite a few people. I really like the booklet he sends out that gives information about ratings and such. It really gives the consumer a heads-up."

We recently purchased new windows for the front of our house and a new front door from West Coast Windows. We were referred by a friend and now completely understand why they were referred with such high praise. The entire staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. We went into the story "knowing" what front door we wanted, but after looking at the floor models I changed my mind and wanted a different door. This was of course after they had already began gathering all the information on the first door. They never once made me feel inconvenient or as a nuisance for my lack of decision making and knowledge. They took the time to fully explain information, answer all questions, and were incredibly accommodating to someone who knows nothing about doors. I would highly recommend West Coast Windows to anyone (knowledgeable or not) who is looking for doors or windows!!!

"So my wife and I are a few months away from the eternal journey of parenthood. Baby room all fitted up nice like, flossing the crib, then .. one of the many windy monsoons we have out here in Pittsburg is blowing and I feel the unmistakeable draft coming from the existing window. Can't have a draft with the baby on the way so off to peep game on what's out their for window company's. Checked here, called a few, then ran solo until I paid a visit to their showroom where I was schooled on the ins and outs, ups and downs of windows. Immediately scheduled an appointment with the owner of West Coast Windows(Richard). I immediately felt this gentlemen knew his stuff, very easy going, personable and accommodated a later appointment. Provided a very reasonable bid, explained any possible hiccups, and off he went. Wifey and I looked at each other, rubbed some schillings together and scheduled MULTIPLE windows to be replace.
Jarod and Tim arrived on the scheduled day, got to work and handled their business like it should be done. Very courteous to my wife, very clean, and made sure to leave no trace of their guest appearance. There is the scratch mark on the new small casement window in the master bathroom, but I've learned to live it.
Now that was a couple months ago (as I like to really test things out before giving props), and I am still mucho satisfied and couldn't recommend them fast enough to anyone looking for Fantastic product, no BS, Clean, and just a pleasant experience."

West Coast Windows and Doors replaced all of the doors in my house, and all of the windows in my elderly mother's house. My mother also just recently had a door in her house which wouldn't close, and Richard and Kelly took care of her within a day of getting the call, much to her relief. I can't recommend them highly enough.

"They were very accommodating, honest, and they did what they said they would do. The work was exceptional. It was done in a timely fashion. We thought we had a problem, but they addressed the situation before it became a problem. Everyone was cordial and easy to work with. We were delighted with the results. It was probably the best experience we've ever had with a contractor."

West Coast Windows reinstalled windows that were improperly installed (from a different company) and installed a new slider door going to the backyard. West Coast Windows is outstanding. I found them as they were the highest rated on Angie's List. Richard personally comes to your home to inspect, estimate and talk about your options. Very Important: Richard is extremely knowledgable and does not believe in pressuring the client, this was huge for us. His staff is also very nice, knowledgable and I could trust them in our home. I definitely recommend using their services and in fact am using their services again in July 2012 for a window replacement.

Overall West Coast Windows was easy to work with and highly professional. From the start of the project Richard, who heads the company, was very helpful and knowledgable about his product, methods of installation, and the window industry in general. He definitely put me at ease and gave me confidence that he and his firm had the best product in Anlin and wouid stand behind it once the job was completed. Also, West Coast is locally located and the showroom is readily accessible. Following my interviews with about six other competitor firms I selected West Coast Windows because the others offered sometimes less costly, but inferior products: less thickness in the vinyl, less metalic reinforcement in the structure, not as good environmental rating of the glass for heat transfer, and fewer choices for options like grids and safety latches. Also, many of the other sales people were less informed on the installation process and post-sales follow-up. Additionally, West Coast was familar with the permit process, which helped immensely in dealing with city officials. The day of installing the window went smoothly with on-time arrival of the crew, easy contact between the crew and the central office on any questions, and real devotion to the task. They were coordinated in getting the widows installed along with the window sills, completing the project on time and will minimum clean-up. They did a walk through with me to see that as a customer I was totally satisfied with their work, which I was...

West Coast Windows and Doors installed new windows in our 4-unit condominium building. It was an absolute pleasure doing business with them, especially considering the problems our homeowners association was confronting. The saga began in July 2007, when new windows (not the work of West Coast) were installed in our building during the conversion / renovation process and prior to any of the existing owners purchasing their units. We first called Richard in March 2010 when we discovered that the upstairs windows were leaking. Richard came to our building and did a full inspection, at no charge, never expecting that we would have to replace relatively new windows. Through Richard's careful and attentive review of the matter, he helped us start asking the right questions and directed us to our construction defect expert, John Schneider from All About Homes, whose inspection revealed that all the windows in our building were improperly installed. Richard was kind enough to answer questions and respond to emails during our "quest" to receive a settlement from the contractor who incorrectly installed the windows. Richard was always available and responsive to our questions even though he never expected to receive a contract to install new windows. In November 2010, we eventually did receive a settlement from the contractor who incorrectly installed the windows and, of course, asked West Coast to replace the windows. West Coast came back out, took all of the measurements, applied for the permit, and did everything correctly and according to code. The installers were excellent -- highly skilled, professional, considerate, and clean! Richard and Kelly followed up at each step of the way, making sure things were going according to plan. I really cannot say enough about this company. I recommend them without hesitation.
